    Product information

    Bread tin Blue steel 24x14cm
Crafted from durable blue steel, this traditional bread tin develops a natural non-stick patina over time when cared for properly.

    Dimensions:
    Top length: 24 cm
    Bottom length: 22 cm
    Top width: 14 cm
    Width (bottom): 12 cm
    Height: 6 cm

Before using your tin for the first time, rinse it with hot water only (no detergent). Dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth, then apply a very light coat of vegetable oil (rapeseed oil works well) or vegetable fat. Place the tin in an oven preheated to 200°C for about an hour to create a protective coating that prevents sticking. Before each use, lightly grease with vegetable oil or margarine. After baking, if needed, wash with hot water only, then dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of oil before storing in a dry place. For best results, buff the tin with a paper towel or clean cloth to leave a light oily film, then store in a dry spot.

Avoid leaving baked goods to cool in the tin, as condensation can lead to rust .

Do not wash the tin in the dishwasher.
The tin’s appearance will darken and patina over time, giving it a unique look that does not affect its baking performance. If a light layer of oxidation appears, scrub it gently with a soft brush or cloth, re-season the tin, and continue baking.
