Instructionsfor double biscuits
Start by preparing your dough.Â
Roll out the dough and press the round cutter into it. If you need 20 biscuits, cut 20 rounds.Â
Next, place a Christmas tree, gingerbread man or star cutter on top of each round and press out another 20 shapes. You now have 20 biscuits with a centre cut-out in the shape of a tree, man or star.
Bake according to your recipe, then let the cookies cool.Â
If desired, repeat Step 3 by adding marzipan, fondant or another decorative medium to the plain rounds.Â
Pipe a border of royal icing onto the 20 solid rounds, then gently press each cut-out biscuit onto its matching base.Â
The result is twenty thick, festive Christmas biscuits ready to enjoy or gift.Â
