Frost Form Cake Coating Kit Round 20 cm
Crafting elegant layer cakes is simple with this complete kit. It includes a 20 cm (8-inch) cutter that trims sponge layers to size, plus all the tools you need for smooth stacking and filling. Use it to create beautiful cakes for birthdays, parties and anniversaries.
Preparation
Wash the liner with warm, soapy water, then rinse both sides under warm running water for a few minutes until it lies completely flat.
Assembling a layer cake
Begin by baking your cake layers and refrigerate them overnight. Next, use the included cutter to trim each layer to a perfect 8-inch round.
1. Spread a small dollop of buttercream on the base, then set the bottom liner in place. Once it’s flat and centred, position the cutter and liner over the base.
2. Pipe a generous layer of buttercream onto the base to secure the cake, then gently press in the first layer of cake.
3. Pipe a layer of buttercream onto the cake and press the next layer on top. Repeat until you reach the final layer.
4. Gently slide the cutter up to confirm that the cake is straight, then chill or freeze the cake to firm it up.
5. Gently slide the cutter upward and peel away the liner.
Coating the cake
1. Place a narrow item in the centre of the transparent mould, on which you will then place the cake. Then place the liner in the transparent mould.
2. Gently lift the transparent mould and secure the liner in place.
3. Pour the coating over the cake.
4. Return the cake to the narrow support, then lift away the transparent mould and liner.
