    Molen de Hoop Chocolate Hazelnut Cake Mix 500 g
    . Create a rich chocolate cake studded with hazelnut pieces at home. This convenient mix from Molen de Hoop requires only eggs and water; simply combine, bake, and enjoy a moist, flavorful cake. Once baked, top with a generous layer of buttercream and garnish with chocolate curls for an extra touch of elegance.

    Recipe
    500 g cake mix, 100 g (about 2 eggs), and 100 g (cc) water.

    Method
    1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan 160°C).
    In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, water and cake mix, then beat on medium speed for 3–5 minutes until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.
    3. Grease a 1.5-litre cake tin with butter, then pour in the batter.
    Bake for 50–60 minutes until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
    If using a paper tin, reduce the oven temperature to 150°C and bake for the same 50–60 minutes.

    About Molen de Hoop
    Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill that was built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and taken over by the Pijnappel family two years later. The mill has been owned by this family for many years. In September 2014, Jan and Henriëtte transferred the expanded business, Grutterij-Molen “De Hoop” Oud-Zevenaar, to the current managers: Frits manages the milling and accounting, while Maaike oversees day-to-day operations and curates a range of premium gift items. Though demanding, the work feels more like a labor of love for the family, and together they keep the mill’s wheels turning.

    Today, the mill supplies premium flour, meal, bread mixes and cake mixes that are popular with hobby and professional bakers alike, and are proudly featured in the Baktotaal range.
