Molen de Hoop Mango-Passion Cake Mix 400g
This mix delivers a cake filled with sweet mango pieces and a gentle tang of passion fruit. To bake, simply add eggs and butter. Simply add eggs and butter, mix, bake, and enjoy. It’s delicious with coffee or as a sweet surprise for someone special.

Recipe
You’ll need 400 g of mix, 200 g of eggs (about 3–4 large eggs) and 200 g of soft margarine or butter.

Method

Preheat your oven to 160°C (fan oven 145°C).
Beat the eggs, softened butter, and Mango-Passion Mix together for 2–4 minutes until the batter is smooth.
Grease a 1.5-litre cake tin and pour in the batter.
Bake for about 65 minutes.

If using a paper baking tin, reduce the oven temperature to 150°C and bake for 55–60 minutes.

About Molen de Hoop
Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and taken over by the Pijnappel family just two years later. In September 2014, Jan and Henriëtte transferred the expanded Grutterij-Molen ‘Molen de Hoop’ Oud-Zevenaar business to its current managers, Frits and Maaike Botter. Frits manages the milling and bookkeeping, while Maaike oversees day-to-day operations and curates a range of premium and gift items. Though demanding, the work feels more like a labor of love for the family, and together they keep the mill’s wheels turning.

Today, the mill supplies premium flour, meal, bread mixes and cake mixes that are popular with hobby and professional bakers alike, and are proudly featured in the Baktotaal range.
