    Product information

Round Blue Steel Cake Tin Ø23cm
Crafted from durable blue steel, this tin develops a natural non-stick patina over time when cared for properly.

    Dimensions:
    Top diameter: 23 cm
    Bottom diameter: 21,5 cm
    Height: 5 cm.

Before using the tin for the first time, rinse it with hot water only (no detergent). Dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth, then lightly grease the tin with vegetable oil (preferably rapeseed oil) or vegetable fat and bake it in the oven at 200°C for about an hour. This creates a protective coating that prevents baked goods from sticking. Before each use, lightly grease the pan with vegetable oil or margarine. After baking, if needed, wash with hot water (no detergent), dry thoroughly, then apply a thin coat of oil and store in a dry place. For best results, buff the pan with a paper towel or cloth to leave a light oily film before storing.

Avoid leaving baked goods to cool in the tin, as condensation can lead to rust .

Do not wash the tin in the dishwasher.
The tin’s appearance will darken and patina over time, giving it a unique look that does not affect its baking performance. Should a light layer of oxidation appear, simply scrub it gently with a soft brush or cloth, re-season, and continue baking.
