    Ingredients

    Baking mix: WHEAT FLOUR, sugar, starch, baking powder (acidifier diphosphates, raising agent sodium carbonates), emulsifiers (polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), flavouring, table salt. Cocoa-containing fat glaze (18%): sugar, vegetable fats (palm, coconut, shea), low-fat cocoa powder (3.6%), LACTOSE, emulsifier lecithin.

    With the RUF Gugelhupf baking mix, you can bake a classic sponge cake with a light crumb and a delicate vanilla flavour. The carefully balanced recipe ensures an even dough structure and a moist consistency. After baking, the Gugelhupf impresses with its golden brown surface and typical shape, which is ideal for decorating. The result is a traditional cake classic with a harmonious taste and appealing appearance.

    Whether served plain or creatively refined, this Gugelhupf offers a wide range of possibilities. The dough can be individually modified with chocolate chips, nuts, raisins or a fruity note. Decorated with icing, icing sugar or chocolate coating, the cake becomes the highlight of any coffee table. The baking mix is perfectly suited to classic Gugelhupf tins and ensures reliable results with a characteristic texture.

    Preparation

    Preparation temperature

    • Top and bottom heat: approx. 170 °C
    • Fan oven: approx. 155 °C
    • Baking time: approx. 55 minutes
    1. Prepare the dough: Put the baking mix, soft margarine or butter, eggs and milk in a mixing bowl. First mix briefly on the lowest setting, then mix on the highest setting for approx. 3 minutes until creamy.
    2. Baking: Fill a greased and floured Gugelhupf tin (approx. 22 cm diameter) with the dough and smooth the surface. Bake on the middle shelf and test with a skewer.
    3. Cooling and decorating: Remove the cake from the tin and leave to cool on a wire rack. Place the icing bag in hot water for 10–15 minutes, cut open and spread the icing evenly over the cooled cake.
