About Molen de Hoop
Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and taken over by the Pijnappel family just two years later. The mill has been in their care ever since. Recipe
400 g of this mix, 200 g of eggs (about 4), 4 tablespoons of water, 200 g of soft margarine or butter, and, if desired, 1 tablespoon of amaretto.
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (fan oven 145°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, softened butter and water with the cake mix. Beat on medium speed for 2–4 minutes until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.
3. Grease a 1.5-litre cake tin with butter, then pour in the batter.
Bake for about 65 minutes until the cake is golden brown and fully cooked. If using a paper baking tin, bake at 150°C for 55–60 minutes.
