    Molen de Hoop Chocolate Biscuit Mix 500g
    Chocolate lovers, take note: this mix makes rich, fudgy cookies studded with bake-stable chocolate chips.

    This versatile 10-inch round cake pan is crafted from heavy-duty carbon steel for even heat distribution and consistent baking results. Its non-stick interior releases cakes, pastries, and other baked goods with ease, while the durable construction resists warping even at high temperatures. Suitable for both home bakers and professional pastry chefs, it’s an essential addition to any kitchen.

    Recipe
    Simply combine 500 g of mix with 185 g of butter or margarine and half a beaten egg.

    Method
    1. Cream the butter with the egg, then stir in the mix until evenly combined. Gather the dough into a single ball.
    2. Gently roll the dough into a cylinder about 4 cm in diameter.
    3. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 20 minutes to rest.
    4. Preheat your oven to 170°C (fan 150°C).
    5. Slice the log into 0.5 cm rounds, arrange them on a greased baking tray, and leave a little space between each piece to prevent sticking.
    6. Gently brush the tops with the remaining egg wash for a glossy finish.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.
    8. Once baked, allow the biscuits to settle on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

    About Molen de Hoop
    Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill that was built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and taken over by the Pijnappel family two years later. The mill has been owned by this family for many years. In September 2014, Jan and Henriëtte transferred the thriving business, Grutterij-Molen “De Hoop” Oud-Zevenaar, to the current managers: Frits manages the milling and accounting, while Maaike oversees day-to-day operations and curates a range of premium gift items. Though demanding, the work feels more like a labor of love for the family, and together they keep the mill’s wheels turning.

    Today, the mill supplies premium flour, meal, bread mixes and cake mixes—all favored by hobby and professional bakers who shop at Baktotaal.
