About Molen de Hoop
Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and later taken over by the Pijnappel family, who owned it for many years. In September 2014, Jan and Henriëtte transferred the thriving business, Grutterij-Molen 'Molen de Hoop' in Oud-Zevenaar, to the current managers, Frits and Maaike Botter. Frits manages the mill and its accounts, while Maaike oversees day-to-day operations and curates the selection of gourmet and gift items. Although running the mill is demanding, the family considers it a labor of love—and they continue to keep the wheels turning.

Recipe for a 1.5-litre cake:
Simply blend 500 g Cranberry Cake Mix, 190 g eggs (about 4 large), and 190 g soft margarine or butter.

Method
1. Start with all ingredients at room temperature.
2. Preheat your oven to 160°C (150°C for fan-assisted models).
3. Cream the butter until smooth, then add the eggs and the cake mix. Beat on medium speed for 2–4 minutes until the batter is evenly combined and velvety.
4. Pour the batter into your prepared tin and set it in the centre of the preheated oven.
Bake for about 60 minutes until the cake is golden brown and fully baked.
