Steensma Farmhouse Cake Mix 1kg
Not particularly special, but incredibly tasty! With this mix from the Steensma brand, you can make a delicious, light cake that is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. The ingredients for a farmer's cake are not that different from the basic cake recipe, but sometimes the proportions and/or preparation are slightly different. Bring on a delicious slice of old-fashioned farmer's cake!

Recipe for one farmer's cake
450 grams of farmer's cake mix, 250 grams of butter, 4 eggs, and 20 grams of lemon zest (optional).

Method
1. Bring all ingredients to room temperature.
2. Preheat the fan oven to 150°C.
3. Grease the cake tin well with butter or Brand New Cake baking spray.
4. Put the butter in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth, but not fluffy.
5. Add the farmhouse cake mix, eggs and lemon zest and beat for 2-4 minutes. Mix the batter until smooth.
6. Spoon the batter into the cake tin.
7. Bake the cake in the oven for approx. 55 minutes until golden brown. To check whether the cake is done, insert a skewer into the cake. If no batter sticks to the skewer, the cake is ready!
8. Allow the cake to cool in the tin for a while. Then remove the cake from the tin and allow it to cool further.
