    About Molen de Hoop: Molen de Hoop is a tall windmill built in 1850 by H.B. Meyer and taken over by the Pijnappel family just two years later. The mill has been in their care ever since. In September 2014, Jan and Henriëtte transferred the expanded business, Grutterij-Molen “De Hoop” in Oud-Zevenaar, to the current managers: Frits manages the mill and its accounts, while Maaike oversees day-to-day operations and curates a range of premium and gift products. Though demanding, the work feels more like a labor of love, and together they keep the mill’s wheels turning.

    This versatile non-stick baking mat offers even heat distribution and effortless release for everything from delicate pastries to sturdy breads. Crafted for home bakers and professionals alike, it provides a durable, easy-to-clean surface that eliminates the need for excess flour or oil.

    Recipe

    For inspiration, try this simple recipe: combine 500 g of muffin mix with 215 g of sunflower oil, 190 g of water and one diced apple, then bake until golden.

    Method:

    Method
    1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan oven 160°C).
    2. Place the muffin mix, oil and water in a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed for 4 minutes, or until the batter is smooth and well combined.
    3. Dice one apple and gently fold the pieces into the batter.
    Scoop 55–60 g of batter into each muffin case.
    5. Place the unbaked muffins in the oven.
    Bake for about 20 minutes until the muffins are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
