Frost Form Cake Coating Kit Round 15 cm
This convenient kit helps home bakers and professionals create beautifully coated, straight layer cakes with even buttercream layers. It’s ideal for birthday cakes, wedding cakes and other special-occasion treats.
Preparation
Before use, wash the liner with warm water and a mild detergent, then hold it under warm running water for a few minutes to ensure it lies flat and doesn’t curl.
Assembling a layer cake
Bake your cake layers, then chill them overnight. Use the included cutter to trim each layer to the same height.
1. Spread a thin layer of buttercream on the base, position the liner on top, then set the cutter over the liner.
2. Pipe a thin layer of buttercream onto the base, then press the first cake layer firmly into place.
3. Continue alternating buttercream and cake layers until everything is stacked.
4. Gently lift the ring to confirm that the cake is straight, then chill or freeze the assembled cake.
Gently lift the ring and peel away the liner.
Coating the cake
1. Center a narrow dowel or piping nozzle in the base of the mould, then set the cake on top and secure with the liner.
2. Gently lift the clear mould and press the liner firmly against the cake.
3. Pour your chosen coating over the cake.
4. Return the cake to the base, then gently lift away the mould and liner.
